For independent teachers

You became a teacher to teach.
Not to manage everything around it.

The teacher does the teaching. BeReady does everything else.

Imagine your students, your materials, your lesson insights, homework, progress and messages connected in one place. Less time searching, organizing and starting over. More time helping students make real progress.

The parts of the job that are not teaching

Teaching is the job. Everything else is the overhead.

You already know the shape of this week. None of it is teaching, and all of it takes your evening.

  • The lesson ends, and now you open a blank document to build homework from memory.
  • You search three folders for the workbook you used with this student last time.
  • You try to remember what they struggled with a month ago, and settle for roughly.
  • Progress lives in scattered documents, so you rebuild the picture every time you need it.
  • Homework gets reviewed late at night, long after the student has moved on.
  • A parent asks how their child is doing, and you start the answer from nothing.
  • Tomorrow's lessons get prepared after today's lessons are already finished.

What if the work around your lessons felt connected instead of scattered?

The connected teaching day

One lesson leads into the next.

These are not separate apps. What you do in one part of the day is waiting for you in the next.

  1. 1Before

Open your Briefcase and know where you stand

Your day, your next class, what needs attention, and the student you are about to teach.

    • Today's classes and what needs attention
    • The student's history and previous reports
    • Materials already attached to that student
  2. 2During

    Teach from one window

Presenter holds slides, workbooks and the web together, with a separate display for your student.

    • Slides, workbooks and web in one window
    • A separate student display
    • Capture anything on screen worth keeping
  3. 3After

Turn the lesson into the next step

Write the lesson report with BeReady's help, from the class record and your own notes, then build homework from what actually happened.

    • A report drafted from the class record
    • Homework built from that lesson
    • You edit everything before it is sent
  4. 4Between

    Keep the thread going

Homework comes back, speaking practice is recorded, vocabulary is reviewed — so the next lesson starts where the last one ended.

    • Completed homework and speaking practice
    • Messages with students and families in one place
    • Progress that is there when you plan

…and the next lesson starts from there.

Before and after

The same teaching week, organized differently.

Three ordinary moments in a teacher's week. Every BeReady screen shown here is the real product, with example students.

Homework

Before

The lesson ends. You open a blank document and try to remember what this student actually needs to practice.

With BeReady

What you recorded about the lesson is already there, so the homework starts from what happened in class instead of from an empty page. You still decide what to send.

A teacher's homework view for one student, grouped into overdue, submitted and active assignments.
One student's homework, grouped by what still needs you.

Student history

Before

You search old notes, documents and past assignments to remember where this student had got to.

With BeReady

One page per student: the workbook they are on and the unit, the homework still open, how many classes they have done, and a way straight into their reports, vocabulary and learning profile.

A student's page in BeReady: current workbook and unit, homework in progress, links to homework, workbooks, reports and analysis, learning profile, vocabulary and the Backpack, and a class history with completed class counts.
Imagine starting every lesson with the context already in front of you.

Materials

Before

PDFs, slide decks and worksheets are spread across folders, drives and old email attachments.

With BeReady

Open your own PDF in BeReady, write on it during the lesson, and it stays with the student who used it. Google Drive and OneDrive can be connected too.

How the pieces fit

Here's what happens when your teaching tools work together.

Nothing here is a separate app you have to remember to open. Each part leaves something useful for the next one.

  1. A lesson can shape the next homework.

Record what happened in class, and that record becomes the starting point for the practice you send — rather than a blank page at the end of a long day.

  2. A student's history can shape your next lesson.

Their previous reports, saved words and recent work sit on the page you teach from, so you are not reconstructing the last six weeks from memory.

  3. A student can speak, hear feedback, and try again.

SpeakReady gives students somewhere to practice speaking between lessons and compare an attempt with the one before it.

  4. Imagine seeing what went well — and what needs more attention.

After a lesson, BeReady helps you review what your student demonstrated, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and plan more purposeful follow-up practice.

    Less guesswork. More informed teaching.

A teacher's lesson analysis in BeReady: what the student did well, the areas to improve, and the grammar, vocabulary and speaking to focus on next.
A lesson analysis as the teacher sees it, before anything is sent.

Sample lesson analysis. Review the insights, make any changes you want, and decide when to share them with your student.

All of that happens in one place.

The Teacher Briefcase

Your professional workspace.

The Briefcase is your whole teaching business inside BeReady. The Brief is the page you open first: what is on today, what needs your attention, and who you are teaching next.

BriefStudentsFamily AccountsScheduleWorkbooksClassroomMessagesResourcesBroadcastSettings

Everything is scoped to your own workspace. Another teacher's students, materials and messages are not yours to see, and yours are not theirs.

Your cloud storage

Your teaching materials. Your cloud storage. Connected to BeReady.

Connect Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive and teach from the PDF workbooks you already have. Each student gets their own assigned workbook — and nothing else from your Drive.

Google DriveMicrosoft OneDrive

Keep your existing materials

Your files stay where they are, organized the way you organized them. You pick the ones BeReady may open; nothing is uploaded again and nothing is moved.

Teach and assign from them

Open and annotate your PDF workbooks in BeReady, and supported changes save back to your connected storage. Assign a workbook to a student and they complete their work through BeReady.

The rest of your Drive stays yours

A student opens only the workbook you assigned them, inside BeReady. They never sign in to your account, never see your folders, and never reach a file you did not assign.

The two are close but not identical. Google Drive gives a student a separate copy of your file; OneDrive can do that, or work in an existing file you authorize. PowerPoint presenting from connected storage is OneDrive only today, and only OneDrive holds more than one connected account. BeReady controls what it opens on your behalf — it does not change sharing you have already set up in Google Drive or OneDrive yourself.

Your students and their families

What you set up, they receive.

Students get a Backpack. Parents get a portfolio that shows their own child's learning and progress.

A student's Lessons and Homework page showing the lesson summary, its analysis, the homework that followed, and a quiz that stays locked until the lesson is read.
What the student receives: the lesson, what it found, and the practice that follows.

The student's Backpack

  • Homework that gives a hint before it gives the answer
  • Speaking practice between lessons, with feedback
  • Their own words, kept and reviewed until they stick
  • Lessons, progress and achievements in one place

Parent Portfolios

Parents can follow their own child's homework, progress, and lesson updates, and communicate with you. Messages can be translated into their language, while your original English remains available.

What a family never sees

Your private notes, your teaching materials, another family's anything, or any part of their child's account you have not chosen to share. For older students, conversations with you stay their own.

Your business, your way

Your students. Your teaching business. Your future.

Already teaching on AmazingTalker, Preply, or independently? Keep doing it. BeReady is built to work alongside your existing teaching arrangements, not to replace them.

You do not have to give up any of this

  • Your marketplace and the students you already teach
  • Your own scheduling, if you have something that works
  • The materials you have built up over years
  • The way you already like to run a lesson
  • Your preferred video conferencing software — Zoom, Teams, or whatever works for you.

Love teaching on Zoom? Keep using Zoom. Prefer Microsoft Teams? Keep using Teams. BeReady works alongside the video conferencing software you already use, so there's no need to change how you meet your students.

BeReady's business model is the teacher's success. Our direction is teacher-paid subscriptions rather than commissions on the lessons you earn. Teachers teach better, BeReady succeeds.

Pricing is not set yet, and nothing is being sold today.

Use the parts you need

BeReady is modular. A teacher who already has a scheduler they like can leave BeReady's alone and still use everything else.

Your students stay yours

BeReady does not sit between you and the people you teach. It is the workspace you run your teaching in.

Your own materials stay yours

Original materials you create and bring to BeReady remain yours. Materials BeReady generates belong to BeReady and are licensed to you — sections 6 and 7 of the Terms set out the difference.

AI assists, you decide

Lesson reports, homework and the feedback you write are yours to edit, and they reach a student or a family only when you send them. Student practice is different on purpose: SpeakReady and writing homework answer the student the moment work is handed in, so nobody waits on you. A parent sees that the practice happened; the coaching itself stays between you and your student.

Built by a working teacher

Made during a real teaching week.

BeReady began as one teacher's own tools. Donald has taught nearly 10,000 online lessons and still teaches every week — on BeReady, with the same workbooks, Presenter, homework and lesson reports a beta teacher gets. Every part of it exists because a lesson needed it.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is BeReady, exactly?

Software for teachers who run their own teaching business. It handles scheduling, workbooks, presenting, homework, assessment, progress and communication with students and families. It does not find you students, and it does not teach for you.

Do I have to move everything over?

No. You create student accounts yourself, as you go, and BeReady is modular — use the parts that help and leave the rest.

Who owns my materials?

Materials you create yourself and bring to BeReady stay yours. Materials BeReady generates for you — homework, quizzes, workbooks, lessons — belong to BeReady, and you hold an ongoing license to use them with your students. BeReady may also make generated material available to other teachers through the Global Library, with teacher names, student names and private notes removed first. Sections 6 and 7 of the Terms set this out in full.

Can students or families see each other?

No. Every student, family and workbook belongs to one teacher's workspace. Nothing crosses between workspaces.

How much AI is there, and what does it decide?

BeReady drafts homework and lesson reports, and gives students feedback on their speaking and writing. A teacher reviews and edits before anything reaches a student or a family. It never grades a student without you.

What does it cost?

BeReady is in private beta and there is nothing to buy on this website. Teachers joining the beta are invited individually, and we discuss it with them directly.

What language is BeReady in?

The teacher and student interfaces are in English. Families can use English, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese, and your messages to them are translated automatically.

Can my students see the rest of my Google Drive or OneDrive?

No. A student opens the one workbook you assigned them, inside BeReady. They never sign in to your storage account and never see your folders — BeReady fetches that single file on your behalf and hands them nothing else. BeReady only opens the files you choose; it does not change sharing you have set up in Drive or OneDrive yourself.

How do I join?

Teacher accounts are created by invitation, one at a time. Join the waitlist below and we will be in touch when the next group opens — or come and say hello in the teacher community.
